ETF Tweet of the Week

What’s old is new again. You may recall that the SEC’s Twitter (or X) account was hacked back in January, with the below gem causing quite a stir for those of us following the spot bitcoin ETF saga. Well, the culprit behind that hack was recently arrested. The U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Columbia:

“Eric Council Jr., 25, of Athens, Alabama, was arrested this morning, in Athens, in connection with a January 2024 unauthorized takeover of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) X account, formerly known as Twitter, in which hackers posted a fake message from the SEC Chair that caused the value of bitcoin (BTC) to spike by $1,000.”

Spot bitcoin ETFs… the story that keeps on giving.
